WHO I WORK WITH
I work with women who have always been the responsible one – the person others rely on, the one who puts everyone else first. Over time, that role can leave you tired, resentful, overwhelmed and unsure who you are outside of it.
YOU MIGHT RECOGNISE YOURSELF HERE
-
You are tired. Really tired
-
You feel overwhelmed
-
You’re usually the one who’s sensitive to what other people are feeling, who tries to be helpful and organised, and who thinks ahead for everyone else without them even noticing
-
You feel guilty for even considering therapy, as if your life doesn’t quite justify it
-
Somewhere along the way, you lost sight of who you are, what you like and what makes you feel good
-
You know something needs to change, and that small voice inside you has finally become louder than the guilt.
WORKING WITH ME IS FOR YOU IF:
-
You feel compelled to make changes that would make your life easier to live.
-
You want to feel part of your own life, not just someone watching it go by.
-
You want to live in line with your values, not just your responsibilities.
-
You want to feel good more of the time, not just cope.
-
You want life to feel less dramatic and more steady and consistent.
-
You want time for joy and fun without feeling guilty about it.
-
You are so busy you feel you can’t fit therapy in, and yet it feels important to carve out the time.
-
You are ready to take responsibility for how you want your life to look going forward.
WORKING WITH ME IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
-
You’re looking for short-term, solution-focused work rather than longer-term depth therapy.
-
You don’t want to explore how your childhood experiences shaped the patterns you’re living out now.
-
You want to be told what to do rather than understand yourself more deeply.
-
You’re not ready to explore your own patterns within your relationships.
-
You’re looking for fortnightly therapy from the outset. I work weekly because consistency is what allows depth, safety and real change to develop. We only move to fortnightly when we are intentionally working towards an ending.
If this feels like you, the next step is a free 15-minute telephone call.
WHAT HAPPENS ON THE CALL?
We’ll have a 15-minute telephone conversation.
You can tell me what’s been feeling hard, and why this feels like the right time to start therapy.
I’ll ask you to give me a brief outline of what you’re hoping will change.
I’ll explain how I work: weekly therapy, because consistency is what allows depth and real change to take root. We focus on what’s happening in your life right now and how that has been shaped by your history. The work is about understanding root causes and learning to recognise your patterns, rather than applying quick fixes.
The intention is for us both to consider whether this feels like a relationship we could build to support you properly.
If it feels right for both of us, we’ll agree a weekly time and begin.
