Helping overwhelmed mums untangle the rules they grew up with so they can stop losing themselves in motherhood
MEET POLLY
Therapist and Founder
Many of the women I work with arrive in therapy feeling overwhelmed, guilty and stuck in patterns they can’t quite explain. They’re holding everything together on the outside but inside something’s cracking. My job is to help them understand what’s underneath. We look at the rules they grew up with, the roles they’ve taken on and what might be possible if they didn’t have to live by them anymore.

I’m an integrative therapist which simply means I draw from different approaches depending on what you need. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, with a special interest in how childhood experiences shape the way we relate to ourselves and others in adulthood.

Before retraining as a therapist I spent two decades in corporate HR, including years working closely with women navigating the transition to and from maternity leave. That time gave me a deep understanding of how identity shifts, invisible labour and performance pressure collide in motherhood and how little support there often is for what’s really going on underneath.

At Crabtree Therapy I bring together clinical knowledge and real-world experience to offer therapy that’s reflective, challenging and always grounded in compassion.
THE FIREPROOF MOTHER APPROACH
At Crabtree Therapy, we help you break free from emotional conditioning and rewrite the rules that keep you stuck. We help you untangle childhood beliefs and inherited narratives, empowering you to choose yourself without guilt and show up fully in every role—without burning out.

Because you don’t have to set yourself on fire to keep the peace.

I’m here to guide you through that transformation, helping you:

-
Break the cycle of self-sacrifice and people-pleasing
-
Rewrite the rules so they work for you, not against you
-
Choose yourself unapologetically, for a calmer, happier life
